Roundup! Indoor Playgrounds in Hamilton

February 27, 2014momstownFamily Life, Parenting, Preschooler, ToddlersNo comments
Where can you take the kids when the weather won’t cooperate? An indoor playground of course! Here’s our momstown Hamilton Indoor Playground roundup of where you should take your wee one for some active play when you can’t go outside.
It’s raining, it’s pouring…the kids say you are boring! Yep, it happens to the best of us. A rain day or a snow day hits! The only craft supplies you have on hand are toilet paper rolls, which you have to unravel in order to use. Neither you nor the kids can take another episode of Max and Ruby (where the heck are those bunnies’ parents, any ways?). Boredom levels are peaking and suddenly you all feel like you’re under house arrest.

Not to worry! You don’t have to go for hike in the rain at Webster’s Falls, just hit up one of these momstown approved indoor playgrounds in Hamilton instead:

Zoom Zooms

“I love taking the kids to Zoom Zooms as it's a great place for them to burn off pent-up energy on a rainy or bitter cold day; and it gives me a break too! The owner and staff there are fabulous and I feel completely at ease having my kids run around like crazies; because that's what they're supposed to do at Zoom Zooms!” –Steph mom to Kaia and Brodie (age 7) and Piper (age 2)

Rates: $5.50 (under 12 months or free with a paying sibling), $5.50 (ages 1-2), $9 (ages 3+)
Location: 665 Tradewind Drive, #3, Ancaster
Website: www.zoomzooms.ca

Little Goobers

“We had Heidi's 2nd Birthday at Little Goobers because they are they only indoor playground that closes to the public for parties, (semi-private is also an option). I was in my ninth month with Annaliese, so Dominik was there to help Heidi out, but she managed most of it on her own. They also let us bring in our own food/drink/cake, which was cost effective.” –Maryann, mom to Heidi (age 2) and Annaliese (9 months)

Rates: $7.50 (ages 2+, free under 2 with a paying sibling)
Location: 410 Lewis Road, Stoney Creek
Website: www.littlegoobers.ca

Jungle Jam

“We went to a birthday party at Jungle Jams and Allie loved every minute. I was worried she might be too young (18 months at the time) to really take advantage of the equipment but, with a little help, she was able to master almost everything. Now you know where to look for us on a rainy day!” –Sarah, mom to Allie Bea (age 22 months)

Rates: $5 (under 12 months, free with paying sibling), $5 (ages 1-2 years), $8 (ages 2+)
Location: 680 Tradewind Drive, Ancaster
Website: www.junglejam.ca

Chatters Party Place

“I liked Chatters because it wasn't so big that I couldn't keep an eye on both kids, and that Abby felt confident enough to climb and slide without needing help, and you can bring in your own food.” –Caroline mom to Abby (age 4) and Thomas (21 months)

Rates: $3 (under 12 months, free with a paying sibling), $7.50 (ages 1+)

Location: 240 Nebo Road, Unit 3, Hamilton

Website: www.chatterspartyplace.com

Jungle Hut

"I love taking my girls to Jungle Hut because my oldest can easily navigate her way around the whole playground while I can keep an eye on my youngest." – Kristie mom to Vienna (age 4) and Erika (age 2)

Rates: $8 (ages 2-12, kids under 2 free with a paying sibling)
Location: 589 Barton Street, Unit 4, Stoney Creek
