This week’s momstown Hamilton Rhyme, Rhythm and Read program was all about SNOW! Snow books, snow songs, snow animals, snow rhymes, and snow print art.
In the books we read, we learned about small penguins living in a big world of snow, all about the essentials of winter, and how polar bears play and live in the cold, wet, white stuff!
All of our children loved this rhyme, and with mom’s help it brought out smiles and giggles…
Our next songs were to the tunes of popular kid’s songs… but rewritten for our wintery snowy day! Try these next one’s with your little one the next time you all have to get ready to go out to play in the snow. It’s sure to be lots of fun, with no struggles to get on the gear.
IF IT’S WINTER AND YOU KNOW IT
(To the tune of If You’re Happy And You Know It)
If it’s winter and you know it, put on your hat.
If it’s winter and you know it, jump in the snow.
If it’s winter and you know it,
and you really want to show it.
If it’s winter and you know it, say Brrrrr!
