The momstown Hamilton preschoolers were building their own airplanes today out of clothespins. We started by painting a clothespin, two large craft sticks, and one Popsicle stick. The kids chose what colours they wanted to use to design their airplane.
Some used paint, others used markers to make it just right!
While the paint was drying we played with some toy planes. We also read some books about airplanes. Angela's Airplane by Robert Munsch is a silly story of a five year old girl taking an airplane out for a drive. And The Airplane Book by Edith Kunhardt helped us learn about different types of planes, their uses, and what it looks like inside one.
Before it was time to go home we played a game of follow the leader and pretended that we were planes.
We flew high & low and turned from side to side just like real planes
Thanks to Image Party Place for hosting us. As usual, we had a great time.
